Saints 2 Wolves 0. Marsden scores the first against his old club the other an own goal to seal Saints' place in the semi final of the FA Cup. Not a great return to Southampton for Wolves manager Dave Jones.
Saints 1 West Brom 0. Beattie again in the opening minutes. A very scrappy, boring game, but the result is the one we want.
Everton 2 Saints 1. A goal from Beattie in the first half, it was looking like it would stay that way until the toffies stole it in the last 10 minutes.
Saints 2 Norwich 0. Southampton Football Club advance to the last eight of the FA Cup with a convincing win over the Canaries. We didn't even play very well, but, we played better than they did.
Millwall 1 Saints 2 . Two good strikes by Matt Oakley put away the challenge from Millwall at the Den. For me, we were by far the better side but should have made more of the opportunities presented to us throughout the game.

Danny Higginbotham has also signed on the dotted line (sort of!) he joins the club on loan til the end of the season from Derby, then he will put pen to paper on a four year deal.
David Prutton signs for the Saints today after making a 2.5 million pound move from Nottingham Forest. The versatile midfielder is very happy to be making the move down South and is hoping that he can emulate Wayne Bridge in getting a call up to the national squad after he finishes with the U21 team.

Sunderland 0 Saints 1. James Beattie gets his 17th of the season. He should be a shoe in for the friendly against Australia but we will see. I would be very surprised if he didn't make the squad based on his last few displays.
